Flower Prints

Both of these artworks are studies of flowers gathered from an English Garden in late summer. I used mixed media including watercolours, inks, coloured pencils and soft pastels, creating this glorious profusion of asters, hydrangeas and buddleias. 

I have always loved doing these large spontaneous flower paintings, and often incorporate treasured possessions. I often use vintage jugs and even paintings and collagraph plates in the background.
